Aim

To promote voluntarism, social justice, sustainable development, and community empowerment by organizing social workers, volunteers, community-based organizations, and civil society institutions, and by fostering inclusive social, economic, cultural, and environmental development among rural and urban communities.

Objectives

  1. To strengthen the voluntary sector by promoting networking, collaboration, and institutional development of community-based organizations, social workers, and civil society institutions.
  2. To promote sustainable and inclusive development through participatory approaches that empower communities and ensure equitable access to opportunities and resources.
  3. To alleviate poverty and improve livelihoods by supporting livelihood promotion, skill development, entrepreneurship, self-employment, and income-generating activities.
  4. To enhance the capacities of communities and institutions through education, training, leadership development, knowledge management, and technical support services.
  5. To promote agriculture and rural development through sustainable agriculture, climate-smart farming, natural resource management, agro-ecological practices, and rural enterprise development.
  6. To advance health, nutrition, water, sanitation, and public health initiatives for improving the well-being of communities, especially vulnerable and marginalized populations.
  7. To promote quality education and lifelong learning, including digital literacy, vocational education, youth development, and community education programmes.
  8. To empower women, children, youth, tribal communities, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups through rights-based and inclusive development interventions.
  9. To promote gender equality, social inclusion, and human rights and work towards eliminating discrimination, exploitation, and social injustice.
  10. To undertake research, action research, policy advocacy, documentation, and evidence-based interventions for social transformation and development planning.
  11. To promote environmental sustainability and climate resilience through conservation of natural resources, biodiversity protection, disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation, and environmental awareness.
  12. To support disaster preparedness, humanitarian response, and community resilience during natural disasters, public health emergencies, and humanitarian crises.
  13. To encourage volunteerism, active citizenship, and youth leadership for strengthening democratic participation and community action.
  14. To promote digital inclusion, innovation, and appropriate technologies for improving governance, service delivery, education, livelihoods, and social development.
  15. To facilitate partnerships and collaborations with government agencies, academic institutions, corporate entities, donor agencies, national and international organizations, and development networks.
  16. To contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and support policies and programmes that promote inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development.
  17. To advocate for peace, justice, good governance, transparency, accountability, and social harmony at all levels of society.
  18. To function as a secular, non-political, and non-profit organization dedicated to public welfare, social development, and humanitarian service without discrimination based on caste, creed, religion, gender, ethnicity, or social status.
  19. To undertake consultancy, technical assistance, project management, and development support services for government, civil society, and development institutions.
  20. To promote innovation, social entrepreneurship, and community-led development initiatives that create sustainable and scalable solutions to emerging social and environmental challenges.
